Visit to auction house Cabral Moncada Leilões

Join YCC Lisbon for a private tour to auction house Cabral Moncada Leilões’ backstages and live auction exhibition!

Founded in 1996 and located in the centre of Lisbon, Cabral Moncada Leilões is a Portuguese company specialized in Antiques and Works of Art and Modern and Contemporary Art, operating in two major areas - live and online auctions and valuations - and two complementary ones - experts appraisals and consultancy.

Miguel Cabral de Moncada, founder of Cabral Moncada Leilões, will grant YCC Lisbon the privilege of guiding us through the exhibition of their next live auction, dedicated to antiques and works of art, and will also unveil the backstages of their offices and practice.

The Young Collectors Circle hub in Lisbon is led by two Lisbon residents: Jemi Laclé and Leonor Castro.

Jemi Laclé

Jemi, born and raised on the Dutch-Caribbean island Aruba, is an avid traveler and has a passion for the arts and design. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise working in international development, diplomacy, human-centered innovation, tech and the creative industries. She is a sustainability curator, a facilitator of key international convenings, a global connector and a passionate international partnerships and grassroots community builder. Jemi lived and worked in Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, North America and South America.

Leonor Castro

Leo, born in Lisbon, graduated in Visual Arts, has a Master’s degree in Arts Management and a Post-Graduation in Art Markets and Collectors. She began working with Milan’s Instituto Cervantes at the cultural department, managing, organizing and producing exhibitions and events. Between 2017 and 2023, Leo was part of artist Joana Vasconcelos’s team, at the commercial department and artworks sales. She has been collaborating with other artists (such as Bela Silva and Carla Cabanas in the visual arts, and André Rosinha and Luísa Sobral in the music world), and with other projects. Leo lived in China, Spain and Italy.

Our events are accessible for all entry levels and a little different from your usual art event: we offer not just a combination of inspirational and practical information, but also a social network of like-minded people.

Young Collectors Circle

The aim of Young Collectors Circle is to inspire a new generation of art collectors; not only to enrich their own lives, but also to sustainably support the art sector. Young Collectors Circle Lisbon is part of Young Collectors Circle, whose headquarters are based in Amsterdam.
