The Liverpool Biennial is the largest festival of contemporary visual art in the UK, which makes it the perfect occasion to visit the city. Our trip is scheduled from 29 - 31 August, so expect to see a sunny side of the city. The biennial is woven into the city through the many exhibitions at projects spaces and museums, through commissions for art in public space, through residencies and through various long-term projects in collaboration with local communities.
Program
During our visit we explore the city through the lens of contemporary art, ranging from a public art tour with works by a.o. Ugo Rondinone, Koo Jeong A and Anthony Gormley. The Biennial is well known for creating new works and exhibitions in surprising locations, which makes this trip a perfect way to explore the city in a different way. Dinner at a great restaurant and a cocktail at an underground location are part of our program.
