Miami Art Week

In December, the international art world travels to sunny Florida for Miami Art Week. Discover the latest trends in contemporary art with other art lovers during this trip. Besides the renowned Art Basel Miami, we will visit satellite fairs like NADA and Untitled, some impressive collections and learn more about the architecture of Miami Beach with a tour of this part of the city. During Miami Art Week you will discover a vibrant art scene where Latinx art plays a major role. Check out the program for this trip below!

FRIDAY 2 DECEMBER

17:00 Visit and guided tour Art Basel Miami
We start with a visit to Miami Art Week's premier fair: Art Basel Miami and take you through some of the fair's highlights. You will meet gallery owners and artists and discover the latest trends in the art market.

20:00 Cocktails & Introductions
After Art Basel Miami, meet for a cocktail at one of Miami's cool bars. Get to know your fellow travelers better and exchange experiences over drinks.

SATURDAY 3 DECEMBER
10:30 Art Deco Walking Tour
On this walking tour you will learn all about the extraordinary architecture of Miami Beach. Led by an architecture expert, we will see the beautiful Art Deco buildings, including the famous house where Gianni Versace lived.

13:00 Visit & Guided Tour at Untitled Art Fair
Miami Beach is home to Untitled Art Fair, where you'll discover emerging talent and new galleries. This international fair with refreshing programming is an interesting counterpart to the major fair Art Basel Miami.

14:00 Scope Art Fair (optional)
For enthusiasts, we offer tickets to Scope At Fair, which is located near Untitled. At Scope you will find some lesser-known artists and smaller galleries.

15:00 The Bass Museum
In the afternoon, we visit the museum of contemporary art: The Bass. The museum is known for its impressive, interdisciplinary exhibitions. During Miami Art Week, they traditionally host a brand new exhibition.

16:00 Satellite Art Show (optional)
On Mid-Beach you can find Satellite Art Show, a smaller, quirky exhibition featuring mostly unknown artists.

19:00 Dinner
We end the day with a nice group dinner.

SUNDAY 4 DECEMBER
10:00 Margulies Collection
Starting Sunday with a visit to the Margulies Collection in Miami's hip Wynwood Arts District. A huge warehouse houses the collection of collector Martin Z. Margulies, showcasing different works from his collection.

11:00 Rubell Family Collection
54 Years ago, Don and Mera Rubell started their collection, which over time has become one of the most influential collections. Several years ago, they opened their own museum, where their collection is on public display.

12:00 Studio Visit
We end the morning with a visit to the studio of a Miami-based artist.

14:30 Visit & Tour NADA Art Fair
The New Art Dealers Alliance is a non-profit platform founded by gallery owners that hosts a parallel fair during Art Basel Miami. It is the place to discover new galleries that are not the ones you encounter often at the regular fairs.

16:30 Visit Perez Art Museum.
Miami's premier museum with a focus on Latin American and Latinx art. We view the permanent collection display and the presentation created especially for Miami Art Week.

MONDAY 5 DECEMBER
Free day - We provide you with tips for a relaxed day at the beach, museum hopping or shopping in Miamis hippest neighborhoods.

TUESDAY 6 DECEMBER

COSTS

The whole trip costs €750 for members, €900 for non-members. This includes: 1x cocktails, 1x dinner and participation in the entire program including admission, tours and tickets. Not included is hotel, flight ticket, transportation within Miami and to and from airport, travel and cancellation insurance and all meals not mentioned in the program. Please note that an ESTA is required to enter the United States.

CONDITIONS

Please note that booking this trip is at your own risk. If the trip cannot take place due to the corona measures at the time of the trip, you will receive a 50% refund of your registration fee. We will cancel the trip if the events in the program (art fairs, museums, galleries, collections) are cancelled or closed or if at the time of the trip there is a ban on entry or a mandate for quarantine for our destination. If a negative test result or vaccination certificate is required, you must take care of this yourself. If, despite the cancellation of the organized trip, you still go to your destination on your own, we will provide you - if possible - with tickets for the fairs, museums or collections. You are responsible for booking your flight and hotel and for any insurance arrangements. We can advise you on transport and accommodation.

Applications must be received by November 1st, 2022 via members@youngcollectorscircle.nl. When you register for the trip you will receive a payment request from us. As soon as this is settled, we will send you confirmation of your participation and regular updates on the trip and the program.
