We take you for a look behind the scenes at Sotheby's Auction House, where prestigious works of art by some of the biggest names in art history are auctioned off.
16.00 Gallery Tour
Discover Mayfair, London's oldest art district, and its many contemporary art galleries, including big names such as Gagosian Gallery and Victoria Miro.
19.00 Cocktails & Introductions
We'll meet for cocktails in vibrant Shoreditch.
Saturday, October 16
10.00 Art Walk through Hyde Park
Frieze's sculpture garden in the middle of Hyde Park is an awe-inspiring selection of monumental sculptures by renowned artists.
10.30 Intro & Guided Tour Frieze
At Frieze we will take you to a number of galleries with a wide range of artworks, and learn more about the works from the gallerists. Afterwards you will explore the fair further on your own.
14.00 Intro & Guided Tour Frieze Masters
At Frieze Masters we select a number of galleries that present different kinds of art, in this case through the centuries.
16.00 Sunday Art Fair
We conclude the day at the Sunday Art Fair: a fair where you can discover young and upcoming talent and where mainly solo presentations are on display.
20.00 Joint dinner
During a dinner at Indian restaurant Dishoom we will have time to go over our art-filled day.
Sunday, October 17
11.00 Private Collection
Our last day in London starts with a visit to one of London's many private collections. The selected collection will be announced to the participants in due course.
13.00 1-54 Art Fair
1-54 is the leading international art fair dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and the African Diaspora. An absolute must-see!
The entire trip costs €400 for members, €550 for non-members. This includes: 1x cocktails, 1x dinner and participation in the entire program including entrance, tours and tickets. Not included is hotel, flight/train ticket, transportation within London and to and from train station, travel and cancellation insurance and all meals not mentioned in the program.
Please note: Booking this trip is at your own risk. Should the trip be cancelled due to corona measures, you will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee. We will cancel the trip if the events in the program (art fairs, museums, galleries, collections) are cancelled or closed or if at the time of the trip there is a ban on entry or quarantine for the destination in question. If a negative test result is required, you must provide this yourself. If, despite the cancellation of the organized trip, you still decide to go to this destination on your own, we will provide you - if possible - with tickets for fairs, museums or collections.
Travel & accommodation
You are responsible for booking your trip and hotel and for any insurance arrangements. We can advise you on transport and accommodation. In London, the Young Collectors Circle team will be staying at the citizenM hotel in Shoreditch. Send us an email to book with a discount!
