Friday 29th April
Friday is arrival day, with time in the afternoon for those who wish to visit the various museums in the city on their own.

16:00 Preview Galleries
We immediately immerse ourselves in the lively world of Berlin galleries. Together we'll visit the VIP preview of a number of major exhibitions that will be open to the public the following day.

20:30 Cocktails & Introductions
In the evening we get to know each other better over cocktails in a Berlin bar.

Saturday, April 30
11:00 Gallery Tour
This morning we'll take you to a variety of up-and-coming Berlin galleries, showing their most cutting-edge artists during this weekend.

13:30 Studio Visits
We'll visit the studios of Berlin artists, giving you a unique insight into the thinking and making process.

16:00 Sammlung Boros
A colossal above-ground bunker in the heart of Berlin houses the impressive private collection of Christian and Karen Boros. This collector couple has a huge collection of contemporary art, which is displayed in a changing composition in the building. We will be given a guided tour of this semi-public collection, which will also include a look at the history of the building and the city.

19:00 Dinner
We will conclude the day together with dinner and a glass of good wine.

Sunday 1 May
11:00 Gallery Tour
We start our Sunday with some impressive exhibitions on view in Berlin's blue-chip galleries.

12:30 Private Collection
In the afternoon we will visit a private collection of Berlin collectors. The selected collection will be announced to the participants before the trip.

Costs

The entire trip costs €400 for members, €550 for non-members. This includes: 1x cocktails, 1x dinner and participation in the whole program incl. entrance, tours and tickets. Not included is hotel, flight/train ticket, transportation within Berlin and to and from train station/airport, travel and cancellation insurance and all meals not mentioned in the program.

Conditions

Please note that booking this trip is at your own risk. If the trip can not take place due to corona measures, you will receive 50% of your registration fee back. We will cancel the trip if the events in the program (art fairs, museums, galleries, collections) are cancelled or closed or if, at the time of the trip there, is a ban on entry or quarantine requirement for the destination in question. If a negative test result or proof of vaccination is required, you must provide this yourself. If, despite the cancellation of the organized trip, you decide to go to the destination on your own, we will provide - if possible - tickets for fairs, museums or collections.

Travel & accommodation

You are responsible for booking your trip and hotel and for any insurance arrangements. We can advise you on transport and accommodation. We recommend traveling with NS International, which offers a direct trip from Amsterdam to Berlin. If you book the train (April 29) from Amsterdam Central Station at 08.08h and the return train (May 1) from Berlin Hauptbahnhof at 16.47h you will be able to attend all parts of the program. In Berlin there is a wide choice of hotels and apartments for every budget. We can give you a suggestion for a hotel if you wish. Booking of travel and accommodation is at your own risk.

Registration

Applications must be received by February 15, 2022 at travel@youngcollectorscircle.nl. Final participation is in order of payment. When you register for the trip you will receive a payment request from us. As soon as this is settled, we will send you confirmation of your participation and regular updates on the trip and the program.
